Role Focus
This role primarily involves providing in-person services within the community, including:
- Home visits
- Daycare and school visits
- Clinic-based services, where applicable
Our occupational therapy services will primarily support pediatric clients, including children with autism, developmental differences, sensory regulation needs, and motor or functional challenges.
Registered OTs may be involved in assessment, treatment planning, direct intervention, and supervision of OTAs. OTAs provide intervention under the direction and supervision of a Registered Occupational Therapist.
Minimum Qualifications
- Experience working with pediatric populations (2+ years preferred)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Appropriate professional education and qualifications for the position
- SLPs must be registered and in good standing with CASLPO
- OTs must be registered and in good standing with COTO
- Relevant education/training as an SLPA/CDA or OTA/OTA-PTA for assistant positions
- Experience working with pediatric populations (2+ years preferred)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability and willingness to provide home and community-based services
